No, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth. When I teach in the city, I find I can often be limited as to how energetic I am in the evenings to write. So I tend not to and usually just relax a bit with K. I’ve also been working on my “novel/bio” for National Novel Writing Month and am just shy of 20,000 words. I’m going to try to catch up (I should be around 24,000 today if I go by daily averages) this weekend, perhaps even get ahead. I’ve been trying to avoid watching the news as it’s all been rather depressing but have kept half an eye on the markets. I do have shares in my company and it hasn’t done well.
This week I found out that my 5 year long gig as being a paid moderator at an online security forum is no longer a paid gig. This sucked but it was bound to happen. At this point, as long as I can keep my instructor gig, I think I’ll be good. The security forum has said they’ll still pay for articles (even up to 2-3 a month) if I do how-to kind of articles. So it’s not entirely bad and may present itself with long term potential. But it still sucked. The week seemed overly busy and I’m not sure why. The only thing I can attribute is that I’ve just finished week 3 of 4 weeks of teaching. At least next week I’ll be home teaching online and more likely to write here and on the Cigar Newbie site.
Anyways, I have some thoughts I wanted to do about Prop 8 and all the recent hype over it but I’m feeling a bit tired. I’ll do something up tomorrow.
